About the Author

 

 Once upon a time long long ago there lived a little girl. Her daycare providers gave her the nickname "the fun one" She decided that she would forever after have to live up to this nickname, and so began the adventures of Chelsea Kendrick AKA The Fun One...

 She grew up in good ol' Kentuck, and upon reaching early adulthood discovered rock climbing, and bourbon...

 She also discovered that she loved being outdoors, challenging herself in new environments, and generally making her life into as big of an adventure possible.

 She traveled the country and the world, rock climbing and paddling from North Carolina to Washington State, to Utah, to Kentucky, to the Florida Everglades, to Peru, to Thailand and beyond, climbing rocks, running rivers, making friends, building community, falling in love, breaking hearts, getting her heart broken, learning, and flailing, and trying to figure out what it all meant...

She learned in the process that A) She truly valued having a close knit community of women with which to connect, share, process, adventure, and grow. B) She liked to eat, and bake, and lick the bowl, and share good food with good friends, and love her body all at the same time

 Finally she discovered one more thing: Cupcakes. Fun to eat, fun to make, fun to share and cute as hell.
She thought to herself, What better food than cupcakes for "The Fun One" to adore? And so she took on a second nickname..."CrushCakes" and continued on her adventure of playing hard, eating well, and having fun.
